About us
The 'Reading Dog' is a concept that embeds the dog as a living and interactive element. Communication between humans and dogs is a unique form of interaction where both parties consciously observe each other's signals and learn from one another. Dogs are capable of decoding human gestures, facial expressions, and intonation, and can respond in kind.
The project is designed so that dogs, along with their trained handlers, visit schools to provide individual sessions where students can read specific lines of text to the dog.
The 'Reading Dog' project primarily aims to enhance reading motivation. Furthermore, it also supports the development of perceptual skills, sensitivity in dealing with others, and other aspects of social competence.

Liebe Spender,
bei Projekten, bei denen Spendengelder über einen langen Zeitraum hinweg nicht angefordert wurden, sehen das Gesetz und unsere Nutzungsbedingungen vor, dass die Spenden von der betterplace.org gGmbH (Betreiberin von betterplace.org) zeitnah für deren satzungsmäßige Zwecke verwendet werden müssen.
Deshalb setzen wir die noch nicht verwendeten Spendengelder für diese Zwecke ein
