About us
Mughende Women Farmers Association (MUWOFA) started in the year 1997 by the group of 30 women as founders. The association started with an aim to fight poverty among members and even in entire community of Munkunyu sub county through savings and credit, tree planting, sustainable agriculture, and domestic violence prevention.
Vision: A poverty free society.
Mission: To have rural women engaged in the quality/ quantity production of food/ cash crops for food security and increased income.
Aims and objectives:
• To engage member of the community to promote sustainable agriculture for increased food security and income.
• To sensitize the community on HIV/AIDS and domestic violence prevention
• To involve the community in tree planting.
• To involve our members in savings and credit scheme.
• Care and support of children and elderly.
