Phumula Children Care Village (Orphanage)

About us

Many of our orphan children have been rescued from abusive and stigmatised environments, because of their HIV status. Many of the orphans are forced to live under severe poverty, and go without meals for days. We have incidents where orphans have been rescued by the organisation, because family members had refused to care by neglecting to administer anti-retroviral, which are essential for their survival. Majority of the people feel that these orphans are taboo (bad luck) and want to have nothing to do with them and results in neglect and they
eventually abandon them.
The Organisation which is empowered by compassion is mandated to rescue orphans from dangerous and abusive situations. The orphans are taken into Community Life Centre: Phumula Children Care Village which had been selflessly built. Community Life Centre, Phumula Care Village has provided a place of refuge for these innocent orphans. What is heart-warming being that children’s lives are saved daily.
