Cross Cultures Project Association

managed by J. Petersen (Communication)

About us

Cross Cultures (CCPA) is a humanitarian organisation using Fun Football to stimulate peaceful co-existence, gender equality and tolerance in places affected by conflicts.

CCPA is in particular known for our programmes: Open Fun Football Schools (OFFS), and Street Sport & Community Clubs, which are to be considered unconventionel reconciliation projects focusing on dialogue and confidence-building meassures.

CCPA's projects are building on the experience of how wars and ethnic conflics affects people and their possibilities of returning to a daily life in post conflict areas.

In this post-conflict setting CCPA is specialised in using:
a) our specific pedagogical "Fun-Football-Concept" as tool to rally children and adults living in divided communities around an activty of common interest ('bridging'), and

b) our stakeholder/civil society approach as tools to build a sustainable structures in civil society, where people of different backgrounds can meet and interact ('bonding') while discussing: children - welfare - future.

Our mission is:
To build friendships and sport co-operation among children and adults from divided communities based on equality and non-discrimination

CCPA is working in:
The Balkans: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Kosovo and Montenegro.
The Caucasus:Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia
Eastern Europe: Moldova and Ukraine
The Middle East: Lebanon and Iraq (earlier also in Jordan and Syria)

Donations that cannot be used for the project

  Mirjam K.  28 October 2016 at 02:51 PM

Dear donors,
when managers of a project haven't requested a payout over the course of a longer period, the German law and our terms of use provide that we (gut.org gemeinn├╝tzige AG, operator of betterplace.org) use the money for our tax-deductible purposes. The same applies to the cancellation of a project, where the manager of the project is unable to realize it.

Therefore we will use these donations for the following purposes

Thanks for your support,
the betterplace.org-team
