About us

TO HUUS – INTEGRATION THAT ARRIVES
We support refugees and migrants in Hamburg in building a new life – with work, education, and a safe home. Our approach: Learning – Housing – Working.
Through our “Tenant Readiness Program” and “Job Readiness Program”, we teach the rules and customs needed for a successful start. Afterwards, we help find an apartment and place participants directly with partner companies facing labor shortages. Volunteer mentors accompany each person – from signing the first rental contract to settling into their new job.
What makes us unique: We stay committed until our participants the participants have really arrived – at home and at work.
In 2025, TO HUUS transitioned from a trust foundation to TO HUUS gUG for greater flexibility and impact. Our current team of 25 dedicated volunteers and six full-time staff (project management, coordination, administration) work together to make integration a lasting success.
