About us
Contemporary And Non Profit CAN gUG promotes art and culture, cultural education, tolerance in all areas of culture and the idea of international understanding, development and co-operation. This happens through the development and realisation of cultural events (e.g. exhibitions, presentations of digital artworks, film screenings) as well as through the active participation in cultural events of third parties (e.g. exhibitions, discussion events), the information of the international public about contemporary visual arts in Africa and the African global diaspora (e.g. through online magazines (website) and publications (print) in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese as well as online archives) as well as the development and realisation of educational events (e.g. workshops, seminars, lectures).

We received a payout of €390.00
Young writers from Africa and the Global Diaspora urgently need support to ensure the presence of their views on contemporary art production. Too often they are still underrepresented in many culture media outlets. Additionally, young writers from these perspectives frequently have to work in politically, economically and/or socially challenging circumstances . Since C&'s launch in 2013, our core mission is to change the narration of visual art and its history by supporting young and independent voices from Africa and the Global Diaspora.
The donation helps to provide fair renumeration to the young art writers and cultural producers from Africa and the Global Diaspora who create the content of C& Magazine. C& has always been committed to paying all contributors fairly. The donation contributes to continuously being able to do so.
