Volontaire-Globalisation (VGlob) is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation registered in Togo and based in its capital Lomé but also working in rural areas. VGlob wants to promote local development by the members of the local community. The core team closely works with volunteers from Togo and from abroad as well as the concerned community members, e.g. local chiefs, elders, youth, and women. Its main intervention areas are education and health. Projects are, for example, distribution of school material, education in ICTs, building school rooms and libraries in villages, promoting HIV awareness, distribution of condoms, equipping village hospitals and pharmacies, and promoting education of girls.
