Freunde und Förderer der Galilei-Grundschule e.V.

About us

As a parents-teacher-association for the Galilei Elementary School in Berlin-Kreuzberg, we support the school in all matters related to promoting education and learning, and we raise funds for these purposes: breakfast at the after-school care center, teaching materials, financial support for entire afternoon clubs, and similar initiatives. All students are at the heart of what we do: They bring everyday school life to life!
In line with the all-day school model, promoting afternoon activities is very important to us. Here, the children have the opportunity to get to know one another across class boundaries. A unique feature of our school is that it is a district-wide State European School Berlin with German and English as partner languages, and that children from the Mehring neighborhood attend the so-called “regular track.” During the afternoon program, the two school tracks can merge.
