About us
Specialized Outpatient Palliative Care (SAPV) was established by law to enable children with incurable, progressive, and advanced illnesses—who also have a limited life expectancy—and their families to live as independently as possible as a family, by providing relief, support, and guidance.
Therefore, we have made it our mission to enhance quality of life through targeted medical and nursing interventions, alleviate distressing symptoms, avoid or shorten hospital stays, enable participation in daily life, and ensure that the end-of-life phase can be spent in the home environment.
We are physicians from various medical disciplines with additional certification in palliative medicine and nursing staff with
specialized training in palliative care.
For supplementary services, such as psychosocial support or social law counseling, as well as
other supportive measures, the Mainz Pediatric Palliative Care Team relies on your help and donations.
