About us

Nationwide, around 2,000 active members in the movement and 250 members in the eponymous association are working to implement the vision 'Bauwende Jetzt!' through a sustainable transformation in the construction industry. Worldwide, the construction sector is the largest driver of climate change. We work on a voluntary basis for changes in the construction sector and related segments. 10 demands for #Bauwende NOW. Germany is already built. Numerous digital theme groups and 51 local chapters, collaborations abroad, university partnerships. The 3 pillars of the association's work: public relations, knowledge transfer/database development, networking.We have a remote office (Bauwende Büro), which we maintain, among other things, with EU funding. Operational costs (salaries, compensation for volunteers, events, travel expenses, insurance, providers, licenses, etc.) are incurred.
