About us
Dortmund lacks self-managed spaces that are accessible to all and free to use. Spaces in which the future of urban society can be developed together and in exchange at eye level. People of all ages, but especially young people, lack a place in Dortmund where they can overcome cultural or class barriers and deal with political or social issues without high hurdles. This gap is filled by the Verein zur sozio-ökologischen Transformation e.V. with the operation of a Socio-Ecological Center, or SÖZ for short.
The project is supported by various Dortmund initiatives and interested individuals from ecological, social and anti-fascist movements. It is to be a meeting place, platform and real laboratory of utopian and sustainable social practice. A place that creates the common good for Dortmund.
