About us

We are the "Ugandakreis Heiligenstadt e.V."
As an active and self-reflective association, our goal is to initiate sustainable projects in partnership with people from Uganda and Germany. We aim to promote cosmopolitanism, exchange, and the overcoming of racism and colonialism.
Since 1992, we have had intensive contacts with Uganda. From this group of interested individuals, the Ugandakreis Heiligenstadt e.V. was founded in 2000 as a registered non-profit association.
Under the motto "Help for Self-Help," we aim to plan and promote sustainable development together with the people in Lwamaggwa, a small parish community in Uganda. The focus of our work lies on infrastructure and educational projects, as well as health development. Our association is supported on-site by professional partners such as the Caritas organization MADDO, and is sustained by many intense friendships.

Der Ugandakreis Heiligenstadt e.V. bedankt sich bei allen, die für unser Projekt gespendet haben. Durch eure Unterstützung können wir die Anschaffung und die Installation der neuen Batterien für die Solaranlage der Primary School in Lwamaggwa nun realisieren. Spenden ist nicht selbstverständlich. Umso mehr freut es uns, das ein so hoher Betrag für das Projekt gesammelt werden konnte. Vielen Dank!
