About us
Finanzwende Recherche is a non-profit subsidiary of the citizens' movement Finanzwende. Our goal is to provide education and critical debate on issues related to the financial sector. We analyse why things are going wrong, develop concepts to fix them and prepare them for the public and politicians.
The climate crisis and the extinction of species are currently the greatest challenges facing humanity. With our work on sustainable financial markets, we contribute to ensuring that banks & co. finally stop exacerbating these problems and become part of the solution. We show that this requires concrete changes in the rules of financial markets.
We deal with issues that otherwise receive little attention - from the importance of financial market rules for climate protection to the harmful influence of the finance lobby on politics. Wherever we identify problems, we also look for viable solutions and alternatives.

Durch Ihre Unterstützung konnten wir im Bereich Sustainable Finance in den letzten Monaten wichtige Aufklärungsarbeit leisten.
Für viele Menschen ist die Klimakrise ein Anlass, ihre Ersparnisse nachhaltig anzulegen. Doch Greenwashing untergräbt das Vertrauen von Verbraucher*innen in die Finanzmärkte.
Finanzwende stellt sich diesen Entwicklungen entgegen und setzt sich für eine ökologische Finanzwende ein. Wir haben Greenwashing bei vermeintlich „grünen“ Geldanlagen aufgedeckt und Vorschläge gemacht, wie der Finanzsektor wirklich nachhaltig umgebaut werden kann.
