About us

The German support organisation "Friends of Philisa Abafazi Bethu e.V." is an association of former volunteers and longtime supporters of the South African NGO Philisa Abafazi Bethu and aims to support Philisa Abafazi Bethu financially with donations and to make its work known as a multiplier in Germany.

Philisa Abafazi Bethu is 100% dependent on donations, as the organisation receives no support from the government in South Africa. Donations from the European area have been made difficult so far, since transfer fees are very high and donation receipts may only be issued by associations based in Germany. These problems are solved by Friends of Philisa Abafazi Bethu: the transfer fees are covered by the membership fees, and the donations therefore go entirely to the projects of Philisa Abafazi Bethu.
