About us

We are a small non-profit German association that is directly working and supporting education in northern India. We support financially, but above all with our many years of expertise in educational work with extremely marginalized children and teacher training. We attach great importance to transparency and are signatories to the "Initiative for a transparent civil society". Damini e.V. has almost no administrative costs apart from bank fees and website - as much as possible every euro flows directly into our work.

Our projects in Varanasi include: A Montessori-oriented kindergarten, a reading program for small children growing up on the streets, and a scholarship program for teenagers and young adults to accompany them until the (successful :-D) end of their professional or university education.
