About us

Around 30,000 people in Cologne live with dementia. When those affected lose more and more of their once learned abilities as the disease progresses, it is a great burden for themselves and their relatives. Many withdraw and give up their hobbies.

This also includes the passion for the soccer club 1. FC Köln!

And because 1. FC Köln belongs to Cologne like the cathedral and carnival, this passion should not end because of an illness.

That is why we, the FC fan club "FC Echo hilft e.V.", with the support of our professional expertise from the "Regionalbüro Alter, Pflege und Demenz Köln und das südliche Rheinland" (Regional Office for Old Age, Care and Dementia Cologne and the Southern Rhineland), have created the "1. FC Köln Erinnerungskoffer" ('1. FC Köln Remembrance Suitcase').
With this case, we want to reawaken the memories and passion in people suffering from dementia.
