About us

LOS FUNDADORES EL SALVADOR is a non-profit association of international development cooperation, which connects different organizations, institutions and individuals to help poor and needy people in El Salvador and Central America to better living conditions.
For 3 decades, our family has been supporting poor and marginalized populations in El Salvador through its organization Los Fundadores El Salvador (www.losfundadoreselsalvador.org). Initially we were dedicated to eye health, but now we are also active in other fields.
In recent years, we have increasingly come into contact with the plight of indigenous groups. Indigenous people in El Salvador have a particularly painful past due to a violent persecution in 1932 and the subsequent hiding of their own cultural roots.
With other partners in El Salvador, we are now trying to improve the living conditions of indigenous groups and protect their lives within their own culture.
