About us

Karwemera United Women Association (KUWA) is a community Based Organization located in Kasese district in Uganda
KUWA started in 2004 under the guidance of women and gender section of the diocese of Kasese. It was started to promote human rights, psychosocial support and the economic status of the association and the community members. Our principle programs include environment conservation and sustainable agriculture, education promotion, gender and development, human rights, health and hygiene.

Our Mission: To strengthen women in the association and community in their various roles so that they can actively get involved in advocating for their own and community developments.

Our purpose: To have an empowered and enlightened society of women who are respected and capable to develop the community.
