About us
aMStart - support for young adults with multiple sclerosis 🌱💬
In Germany, 17,000 people are diagnosed with MS every year, 66% of whom are between the ages of 20 and 40. The time of diagnosis is particularly stressful and increases the risk of depression by 70%. Despite this, young people rarely seek help in conventional self-help groups.
aMStart is a low-threshold, free and independent counseling service for young adults living with a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS). We offer 1:1 conversations between patients: anonymously, digitally and at eye level 🤝✨
We have already connected over 950 people and provide valuable help for those affected throughout Germany. aMStart is a non-profit organization and relies on your support. đź’š
Our team consists of dedicated volunteers who have experience of MS themselves. They are trained to provide the best possible support for those affected. đź’—đź‘‚
Together we create strength in crises and set an example for solidarity & mental health!
