About us

We actively support animal welfare in order to improve the living situation of street animals in Serbia in the Šabac region, e.g. medical care, preventive vaccinations, castration, food supply and the financing of foster homes.
The placement of dogs that have no chance of adoption in Serbia or are long-term residents in the shelter, primarily discarded hunting dogs, such as Pointers, Setters and German Shorthairs, but also all other breeds that have a very hard time finding a home in Serbia.
In this context, MEDA e.V. - Rescue Shelter Šabac supports the educational work of the Serbian organisation MEDA - Udruženje za zaštitu životinja about species-appropriate animal husbandry and animal welfare among the Serbian population and supports them financially for their implementation. Everyone needs a vision! Our vision is to be able to implement regular neutering projects in the region to reduce the population of street dogs.
