About us

Arise e.V was set up as an association in Ahrensburg- Germany in 2015 to champion community development in Kokrobite and its neighboring fishing communities in Ghana. Our deepest conviction is that education is a fundamental right and should be accessible to all children regardless of social and economic circumstances. We envision a Kokrobite, where every child, regardless of their background or situation, has unrestricted access to a life-changing education.
Our core objectives:
1. provide free educational services to underprivileged and talented children in Kokrobite
2. develop an educational model centred on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)
3. nurture ethical, assertive and selfless young students
4. develop valuable partnerships and synergies to provide experiential education
Our model primary school is located in Tuba and currently serves a total of seventy-four pupils in pre-school and primary school. In addition to the ongoing school work, however, our biggest project is the construction of our own school building in Kokrobite, which is planned to be sustainable and inclusive and will provide more than 200 pupils with a place in our primary school.
