About us

One second can change everything.

In Germany, around 10 million people live with a permanent disability or chronic illness - 98% of whom develop one in the course of their lives. Accepting and mastering this new reality is a major challenge.

This is where we come in: EnableMe, organised by the non-profit and donation-funded foundation MyHandicap gGmbH. Since 2005, we have been providing information, support and dialogue to help people lead a self-determined life. Our team - over 50% of whom are affected themselves - knows first-hand what this means.

We run the largest online community for people with disabilities and chronic illnesses. We support our target group with in-depth articles, partnerships with experts and needs-based projects.

Over the past two decades, we have already helped millions of people - all at no cost to those affected. However, we rely on donations and funding to continue and expand our work.
