About us

The non-profit "Our Lady's Foundation for Health Care in Developing Countries" promotes long-term projects to improve health care in the countries of the "Global South".

It follows the basic idea that without reliable, accessible, affordable health care, citizens' chances for individual, economic development and the independent way out of poverty are impeded.

The Foundation is guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aims to contribute positively to SDG 3 "Good Health and Well-being" and indirectly to SDG 1 "No Poverty" and SDG 10 "Reduced Inequalities".

Preference is given to projects led by or involving Malteser International.

DZI Donation Seal (Germany): The seal is only awarded for annual income of more than 25,000 EUR. Although the foundation has been in existence for 10 years, as a small support foundation its annual budget is far below this limit.
