In 1971 the catholic day care center St. Johannes was build in Amtzell. Since then, it has been continuously developed in terms of size, pedagogy and types of care. It comprises four groups and currently looks after 97 children. Three care modules are offered: regular care, extended opening hours and all-day care. Each child has their own place in their home group. They form a "safe haven" for the children. There it has time to arrive in the morning and to think about what and where it wants to play today. Here it also experiences the common vespers, the morning circle and its birthday party. Each group room is assigned a focus. During free play, each child can choose which group room or area of education they would like to work in. Movement is very important for our children. We go into the garden every day so that the children can get some fresh air, let off steam and exercise in a variety of ways.
