About us
CONSTANT is a young, mixed vocal ensemble founded by Harald Jers in 2006 and directed by Judith Mohr since January 2015. The current 35 singers have many years of choral and vocal experience.
The chamber choir is dedicated to choral literature of all epochs at a high musical level. The wide-ranging repertoire extends from a cappella pieces of the Renaissance to smaller works of choral symphonic music and modern compositions. In October 2017, the choir won the NRW State Choir Competition in the A1 category. At the subsequent German Choir Competition 2018 in Freiburg, CONSTANT received the rating "participated with very good success". In April 2019, the chamber choir accepted an invitation to the Stiftskirche in Stuttgart to perform in the renowned concert series "Stunde der Kirchenmusik".
For 2022, the Chamber Choir is planning to perform Johann Sebastian Bach's Christmas Oratorio in collaboration with the Cölner Barockorchester.

Wir danken jeder:m Spender:in für die Unterstützung! Wir konnten im Dezember zwei wundervolle Konzerte mit Bachs Weihnachtsoratorium zur Aufführung bringen. Dies wäre ohne die hier erfolgte Unterstützung nicht gegangen. Auch bedanken wir uns bei allen teilnehmenden Schulen, in denen wir Schülerinnen und Schülern aller Altersklassen auf verschiedenen Art und Weise Bachs Weihnachtsoratorium und die Weihnachtsgeschichte näher bringen konnten.
