About us
SOLI is short for solidarity with local initiatives. The organization promotes education, health care and income generating activities for needy children, youth and adults living in the global south mainly in Uganda.
Currently we support two initiatives by the local organization named 'howareyou' active in Mukono district. It is a schooling project where German sponsors contribute to the school fees and requirements for 10 children. Seven children attend a boarding school whereas three children live with their families and visit a day school.
The second project helps families in need with small scale farming. Starting early 2024 SOLI was able to provide funds for building a chicken shelter as well as a for buying a first set of chicks and food to raise them.

Der dritte Schulabschnitt in Uganda hat am 20. September begonnen. Dank der eingegangenen Spenden können die Kinder weiterhin am Schwimmunterricht teilnehmen. Die örtliche Betreuerin Scovia berichtete, dass die Kinder im Nichtschwimmerbecken munter schwimmen. Sie wurden aber noch nicht in den tiefen Teil des Schwimmbeckens gelassen. Der Übergang ins tiefe Wasser ist in den nächsten Wochen geplant.
