About us
Restoration Orphanage Home is a charitable organization founded in the year 2004 by Mr. David Joshua and Pst. James Mwayangu. Mr. David Joshua was orphaned at the age of 5 years old and stayed with a hostile stepmom, before seeking for rescue at Indekhwa Children Home at the age of 6 years.
When he was 17 years old, the orphanage got closed up and a woman cook at the orphanage offered to host him alongside other three younger orphans. Life was not easy as they lacked some basic human needs. he empathized more with the younger orphans, he opted out of school and started doing casual works to fetch for the younger orphans. Luckily one day some German tourists visited the school and were compassionate about the three kids and offered little help to cater for their needs. Compelled by the situation he went through at that tender age made him to initiate a children’s centre given that he practically understood the tribulation that orphans go through.
