About us

Ein Herz für Senegal e.V. is an association based in the Coesfeld district of Germany that has been providing voluntary support to the people of Senegal for more than 20 years. The main focus of our work is to promote projects that improve educational opportunities for children. Education enables people to secure a stable income and contributes to self-determination, peaceful coexistence, and the strengthening of democracy. Our projects are financed through membership fees, donations, and public grants.
The guiding principles of our projects are
• Need: We carry out projects where support is urgently needed.
• Sustainability: The benefits of our projects should have a long-lasting impact.
• Equal opportunities: We support people regardless of religion, ethnicity, gender, or social status.
• Helping people to help themselves: The target groups actively participate in the planning and implementation of the projects.
