About us
The Young European Federalists see themselves as advocates of the European idea and promote the spread of European awareness in society, especially among young people. European challenges require European solutions. That is why, since 1949, we have been campaigning for the United States of Europe and for better European policymaking. Through European civic education and international exchanges, we aim to make Europe and European politics more understandable. As a democratic youth organization, we work to increase the participation of young people in European politics and to promote democratic values and civic engagement.

Federalist Peace Forum: Update & call for further support
Dear supporter of the Federalist Peace Forum,
Half a year ago, you took a brave step, and bet on peace. At a time of polarisation and war, you chose to donate money to a group of young volunteers, who had a dream of dialogue and connections between Israelis and Palestinians. Your choice paid off - it allowed us to hold the first Federalist Peace Forum on the island of Ventotene.
📄 A key result: the Ventotene Declaration
A major outcome of the Forum was the adoption of the Declaration of the Federalist Peace Forum in Ventotene, jointly drafted by Israeli and Palestinian participants with European facilitation. It contains a shared analysis of the conflict, and concrete commitments for continued cooperation. You can read it here.
After our first meeting, we presented our vision in the German and Italian parliaments, organised more then ten local activities in Israel and Palestine (including a large scale binational event in Beit Jala). We managed to do the unthinkable and break barriers with limited budget, greatly expanded by you.
Now, we request your support again:
The next crucial step will be a European advocacy event planned for March 2nd and 3rd, where the project’s outcomes will be presented to policymakers, civil society actors, and the wider federalist network. As you will know, civil society budgets are shrinking, and financing our project, with its special scope and geographical profile, is very difficult. Most urgently, we are looking for ways to finance the travels of young activists from 'Federal Future Israel' and 'Democracy & Federalism Hub Palestine' to Brussels.
💚 Please consider donating here: https://www.betterplace.org/en/projects/170383-help-us-build-peace-bring-the-federalist-peace-forum-to-brussels 💚
We already received the support of MEPs, civil society groups, and universities, and built a two days program. As we believe that it is crucial that Europeans will hear first-hand local perspectives from Israeli and Palestinian activitsts, we are hoping for you to spread the message. Any donation, even a small one, will bring us one step closer to our goal - bringing 10 changemakers, composed of both Federalist Peace Forum alumni and new volunteers, to Brussels.
Even if you cannot donate yourself, we ask you to please spread the word among your circles, friends, and colleagues.
Together, we can make sure that peace will prevail.
For any question on this, please reach out to federal.forum@jef.de.
With hope and gratitude,
