About us

The Eifel'wehren - Catastrophe Aid e.V. is a non-profit association that provides voluntary support to the fire brigade, THW and DRK in major disaster situations. Founded in 2019 and officially recognized since 2020, the association is primarily involved in floods, storms, evacuations, people searches and animal rescues. The members also take on fire and security guards as well as tasks during helicopter landings.

Funding comes from donations and membership fees. The club recorded a total of 48 missions in 2023 alone, including 22 helicopter landings and 11 animal rescues. He became particularly known for his operations during the 2021 floods in Büdingen and the Ahr Valley.

With a mixture of professionalism, volunteerism and team spirit, the association works to strengthen security and help in the region. The Eifel'wehren are always looking for supporters, whether as active helpers or supporting members, in order to be able to continue to provide quick and effective help.
