Wir können kaum glauben, wie schnell die Zeit vergangen ist, aber schon heute fliegt Mika mit dem Krankentransport-Flug zurück nach Hause in Schottland.

In den letzten Wochen hat Mika sich mehr und mehr von der OP erholt, und musste gleichzeitig auch vieles planen und organisieren: die Rückreise, abschließende Untersuchungen in Barcelona, und für zuhause die notwendige Pflege, Nachsorge und Unterstützung.

Es war sehr emotional für Mika, sich von dem Team in Barcelona zu verabschieden und zu wissen dass Mika bald sehr weit weg von den Expert*innen sein wird, die sich mit Mikas Krankheitsbild gut auskennen und wo Mika sich so gut aufgehoben gefühlt hat. Aber Mika ist auch voller Hoffnung und bereit für das nächste Kapitel.

Wir wünschen Mika alles Gute für die Reise und möchten nochmal Danke sagen an alle die Mika und uns bisher auf diesem Weg begleitet und diese OP möglich gemacht haben! <3

We can hardly believe how fast time has passed, but already today Mika is flying back home to Scotland by air ambulance.

During the last weeks Mika has been recovering more and more from the surgery, and at the same time they had to plan and organize a lot of things: the return journey, final examinations in Barcelona, and the necessary care, aftercare and support for the time back home.

It was very emotional for Mika to say goodbye to the team in Barcelona and to know that they will soon be very far away from the experts who know Mika's condition well and where Mika felt so well taken care of. But Mika is also full of hope and ready for the next chapter.

We wish Mika all the best for the journey and would like to say thank you again to all who have accompanied Mika and us on this journey so far and made this surgery possible! <3
