Initiative Musik gGmbH

About us

The non-profit Initiative Musik promotes the music industry in Germany on behalf of the German federal government. Its work focuses on pop, rock and jazz.
The sponsors of Initiative Musik are GVL (Gesellschaft zur Verwertung von Leistungsschutzrechten/ Collecting society for neighbouring rights) and the German Music Council. Most of the funding is provided by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media by resolution of the German Bundestag.
