About us

Freechild Uganda e.V. is a non-profit organization based in Northern Germany that has been supporting educational and community development projects in Uganda since 2016.

At the heart of our work is the Happy Hills School Project in the Buikwe District near Lake Victoria. More than 230 children have access to education, care, daily meals, and a safe environment in which they can learn and grow. In addition to the kindergarten and primary school, the project includes dormitories, a library, play and learning areas, and a school kitchen.

We also support the Nakajo Hope for Girls Foundation, which empowers girls, women, families, and other members of local communities through educational, awareness, and support programs.

Our goal is to promote sustainable development through a "helping people help themselves" approach. Through education, health initiatives, and targeted support, we create long-term opportunities and future prospects.
