About 40 young people searching for free space found a place 40 years ago which we are calling „Druckluft“ today.
The large terrain and the several rooms gave them a long wanted opportunity for youth, education and cultural work.
Under the condition of founding an registered society the city council gave the building the „Druckluft e.V.“ and the self-administrated youth and cultural center „Druckluft“ was born.
Druckluft is meant to be a uncommercial meeting point on the one hand and freedom for culture for everybody on the other hand.
To get insight you could join the registered society or visit a meeting.
With your participation Druckluft will keep on moving for another 40 years.
The Druckluft e.V. ist also cooperating with a multitude of other local charitable organizations Oberhausen and the Ruhr Area.
