About us
Children’s Helpers Worldwide is a small organisation based in London, run entirely by volunteers. We are aiming to create a network for people around the world who want to help give children a better start to life. We work with the staff of local organisations, and have formed partnerships with people running projects in Argentina, China, Ghana, Romania and South Africa, so far. The local projects are very varied, and we work with schools, orphanages, hospitals, medical projects, sports programmes and more. The people running the local organisations work with the children everyday and are in the best position to understand the children's needs. Our partner organisations send us appeals and we fundraise for them. The projects we support make a real difference to the lives of children in need.
We have supporters and volunteers from different countries around the world and we hope you will join us too!

Donations that cannot be used for the project
Dear donors,
when managers of a project haven't requested a payout over the course of a longer period, the German law and our terms of use provide that we (gut.org gemeinnützige AG, operator of betterplace.org) use the money for our tax-deductible purposes. The same applies to the cancellation of a project, where the manager of the project is unable to realize it.
Therefore we will use these donations for the following purposes:
