About us

tanzbar_bremen is a mixed team of dancers, choreographers and cultural workers with different skills. The focus of the work is to strengthen contemporary dance through inclusion.

tanzbar_bremen's mission is to make art and culture accessible to as many people as possible. For more than 15 years we have been realizing projects involving professionals with and without disabilities, creating an atmosphere of equality. Thereby we are regionally and internationally active. As the first dance company in Germany, tanzbar_bremen has created jobs for an inclusive team.

We create serious and humorous dance productions for the stage or public space, which we perform regionally and internationally. In Bremen we regularly offer dance trainings, workshops and educational programs. In addition, we organize the inclusive dance festival eigenArtig biannually, where dancers with and without disabilities from all over the world perform on the stages of Bremen.
