About us

The Secular Institute of the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary is a religious community within the Catholic Church. For most people it is easier to understand when we say that we are ‘a convent’. As sisters, we live for the ‘cause of God’, that his idea of our world and of us humans be realised. That is why we carry out projects that enable religious experiences, help to master life and create community. We support families, offer accommodation to refugees and help them. We want to offer an open ear and a home to people of different denominations and backgrounds. We try to set an example of genuine Christianity to the people in our neighbourhood - joyful, inspiring, open to God's guidance in everyday life. So that our world can become a little warmer, better and happier!
