About us

The Neckar-Alb Water Rescue Group (WRG) of the German Lifesaving Society (DLRG) is committed to water rescue in the Neckar-Alb region. For over 40 years, its goal has been to provide qualified assistance to the public in the event of an emergency on or in the water. The WRG offers a very broad range of services, which requires a significant investment of time and money. Its activities range from:
- Training and continuing education of emergency personnel
- Youth work as part of the Youth Response Team
- Waterside security for events
- Medical services
- Water rescue service in the districts of Reutlingen and Tübingen
- Participation in civil protection in Baden-Württemberg

The team, which consists of around 60 members, consists of DLRG members from the districts of Reutlingen and Tübingen, who often also work in the water rescue group in addition to their work in the local branch.

According to the statutes, all active members are 100% volunteers!
