About us

For more than 10 years, the German Society for Tissue Transplantation gGmbH (DGFG) has been organizing independent and non-profit tissue donation at now 30 locations throughout Germany. Every year, we are able to help thousands of people to lead a normal life again through a tissue transplant.
The DGFG is supported by the Hannover Medical School, the University Hospitals of Dresden, Leipzig and Rostock and the Dietrich Bonhoeffer Clinic in Neubrandenburg.

We finance our non-profit work through the reimbursement rates of the tissue transplants arranged for transplantation. These exclusively cover the costs incurred for the tissue donation in the hospitals, the processing to the transplant in the tissue banks as well as the expenses of the mediation.

For research projects to improve transplants or for educational and public relations work, only small funds remain - for this we depend on your support!
