About us

interkular is a non-profit organization based in Berlin-Neukölln. Since our founding in 2017, we have been developing holistic solutions in the areas of encounter, counselling, and support. We assist people with refugee or migration backgrounds in fields such as housing, community networking, labour market integration, and future planning – with the aim of creating real equal opportunities.

However, our work goes beyond traditional integration efforts. We have come to understand that social participation concerns everyone: people without a refugee biography may also experience isolation, exclusion, or a lack of access to community life. That’s why we create opportunities that bring people together, regardless of their background or life situation.

We see integration as an ongoing process that the entire society shapes together. interkular encourages and accompanies individuals as they step out of their comfort zones, try new things, and actively engage in an ever-changing social
