Montessori Zentrum Sonnenschein e.V.

About us

As a parent-run nonprofit association, we at Montessori Zentrum Sonnenschein e.V. operate the Freie Montessori Elementary and Middle School in Polch (RLP).
Currently, about 100 students are learning here in mixed-age classes. Montessori learning is a hands-on approach. With the help of Montessori materials, learning takes place through experimentation, exploration, and understanding. Our students learn at their own pace, choose their own learning partners and learning spaces within our school, and are guided, supported, and challenged by our teachers throughout the process.
Despite this entirely different approach to learning, our students cover all the curriculum content required for schools in Rhineland-Palatinate and receive a recognized and equivalent high school diploma.
Since we, as parents, fully fund this school and therefore bear a significant financial responsibility, we appreciate any support in the form of donations.
