About us

ZUEWMGT (Zimbabwe Urban Environmental Waste Management Group Trust) is registered under Deed of Trust Number MA375/2006 in accordance with the Zimbabwean laws for the purposes of spearheading sustainable waste management systems for the communities in Zimbabwe. ZUEWMGT works with Community Based Organizations registered under the trust nationally as a way of eradicating poverty among vulnerable groups. The strategy to eradicate poverty includes adding value to polystyrene waste by processing it into oil or diesel; pelleting of plastic waste for recycling and turn biodegradable waste into organic fertilizer through vermicompost. This strategy will generate income for the Community Based Organizations since they are the owner of the project from onset.
