About us
Rusty cages, abandoned zoos, amusement parks, circuses or falling bombs - in 25 years, we have been able to rescue over 100 wild animals from life-despising conditions. But many animals continue to suffer, day after day. With your support, we can help them. Let's save lives together.
Rescue operations are just one part of our work. In our near-natural outdoor facilities, the bear sanctuary, we encourage the natural behaviour of traumatised wild animals. They receive comprehensive medical care and loving care. Here, the animals can interact with their wooded home, retreat and thrive. Bears climb trees, wolves act in packs and lynx become true forest spirits.
But when does animal husbandry become animal abuse? We document wild animal husbandry, support sustainable practices and raise awareness of the dangers of captivity. As part of our education programme, we investigate the background to animal cruelty and offer solutions.

Vielen dank für eure bärenstarken Spenden! Das Geld geht zu 100% in unsere Tierschutz-, bzw. Artenschutzarbeit. Derzeit stehen wir vor großen Herausforderungen. Wer uns auf Social Media verfolgt, weiß, dass wir JJ4 (ehemals GAIA, nun LUNA) in unserem Projekt SCHWARZWALD aufgenommen haben. Damit haben wir den 3ten Wildbären aufgenommen, der zu einem "Problem-Tier" gemacht wurde und zu einer lebenslangen Haft verurteilt worden ist. Ein Schicksal, das wir kein weiteres Mal hinnehmen wollen und können. Wildtiere gehören in die Natur und nicht in Zoos, oder andere Einrichtungen, wo mit ihnen Profit gemacht wird. Daher wollen wir unsere Aufklärungsarbeit in Zukunft weiter intensivieren, sodass eines Tages keine Problem-Tiere mehr entstehen.
