About us

Nummer gegen Kummer is the largest psychosocial counselling service for children, young people and parents in Germany. All our services are free, confidential, open to all topics and non-profit. With your donation, we can continue to provide high-quality counselling for families, further develop our services and make them better known.

Over 5 million people seeking advice have already received help and support from the low-threshold telephone and online counselling services of ‘Nummer gegen Kummer’. Around 3,800 qualified volunteer counsellors are working nationwide to answer the many thousands of enquiries from children, young people and parents. Frequent reasons for seeking counselling are psychological problems, loneliness, feeling overwhelmed and helplessness.
