About us

For 40 years, we — the Child Protection Association (Kinderschutzbund) of Nuremberg — have been committed to protecting children as a non-profit organization and an independent, officially recognized provider of youth welfare services. Promoting the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and ensuring that children and young people grow up free from violence are central to our mission.

In addition, we support parents with educational questions and strengthen their parenting skills through training courses. We also focus strongly on prevention by empowering children and young people in workshops to protect them from violence and abusive experiences.

Furthermore, as a specialized counseling center, we advise children, young people, parents, as well as professionals and institutions on issues such as child welfare endangerment, violence against children, sexual abuse, child protection, and parenting-related questions.
