About us
African Community Based Initiative organization(ACOBI) registration/certificate number 12138 is an indigenous NGO with a permit/license to operate under the Non-Governmental Organization registration act.
The head office of the organization is situated in Makindye Division,luvuma zone2 Kampala District. ACOBI is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit and works exclusively to better the lives of the most vulnerable individuals in the rural communities.
The organization carries out activities in the field of alleviating poverty, promoting community based health care/ nutrition/water/ environmental sanitation, empowering the needy members of the community and academic excellence.
The organization enhances preventive measures against HIV/AIDS and also promotes initiatives among community members for the care of those individuals and families affected by AIDS.
ACOBI supports and offers moral guidance and services to persons including children, youths and adults.
