About us

The Bassari Association was founded in 2010. After initial activities in Senegal, Peter Moosbrugger opened the Bassari Children's Home in Arusha, Tanzania, in 2017. According to UNICEF, more than three million children in Tanzania live in substandard conditions as orphans or half-orphans.
Our goals are to empower people to become independent, alleviate suffering, give children a home, and, above all, provide personal support on the ground.
With our fantastic team of Tanzanian employees on site, supported by regular on-site supervision by Peter Moosbrugger and Yvonne Jörg, we ensure that our children grow up in a safe environment and with new prospects for the future. At the same time, we guarantee transparency, efficiency, and careful handling of your donation.
