About us
The Biblioteca Comunitária Caranguejo Tabaiares (BCCT) was founded in 2005 and is located in one of the poorest Favela in Recife. The aim of the organisation is to strengthen the community and to enhance their education.
The major effort is to enhance the education of kids and teens. Therefore, the organisation offers workshops which enhance the reading as well as knowledge about history and communication technologies. Due to a cooperation with a french organisation the Biblioteca also teach french to the children. In addition, the impart the children with values like emgagement and respect.
The organisation is part of a social brasilian network to exchange information with other organisations and to have an impact on politics.

Thanks to these donations! Now we can pay the labour cost of the construction. We have already started the construction. It is so great. We still need more donations to finish the construction to enable the children to learn in a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. Try to share our education project, it is so important for us. Together we can make it possible.
