About us
Ford Trust is a community based registered charity working most under developed Sivagangai and adjacent districts of Tamil Nadu, India. It was started in the year 2002 by a group of social workers from rural area. It was registered under Indian Trusts Act 1882 and Foreign Contribution (REgulation) Act 1976 and exempted from Tax unse section 12AA of Income Tax Act of India. It is working for the empowerment and development of rural poor and disadvantaged section of society specifically the women, children and adolescent girls with support for education, rural water supply, vocational skill training for women and girls living in difficult circumstances.

Community School for Rural Poor and Vulnerable Children
Ford Trust is working in most under developed Sivagangai district of Tamil Nadu, India. Rural Water Supply and Child Sponsorship and Prevention of Human Trafficking are the major programmes presently going. The rural children suffer very much due to poverty and emerge as child labour at the cost of their childhood. For the above purpose we plan to start a Community School to provide better education to the vulnerable children. For the above purpose there is a need for construction of a low cost building with 3 class rooms and other facilities.
