About us

Angehört explains refugees the asylum process in Berlin and Brandenburg. The team of 30 volunteers explains to the refugees, together with natives in the relevant languages Arabic, Farsi, Pashtu, Russian, Urdu, French and English, the legal situation and prepares the asylum seekers for their interview with the German government. Angehört reduces or prevents traumas, since explain with such detail the reasons for fleeing can be a traumatizing event without an adequate preparation. The organization is supported through a group of competent and specialized lawyers.
